Foraging: Focus on Invasive Species

Amy Demers, founder of the CT Foraging Club will present a program about foraging in Connecticut. We will meet in the parking lot southeast of the Coginchaug High School football field and proceed into the Field Forest for a short, low intensity hike. Participants will gain useful knowledge about ethical foraging as well as the benefits of utilizing some of the invasive plants such as Autumn Olive, a State listed, aggressive invasive.

Note:

All ages are welcome, but we do ask that those under 16 be accompanied by a responsible adult.

This program is presented thanks to a grant from CVEF and is limited to 20 people.
